Other than the Chinese continually clanging the warning bell for the past year, maybe it takes a bit more forceful action to wake up the rest of the world, and not just about Rare Earths. The events surrounding the Japanese and Chinese fishing boats may well revive a long list of grievances between them, and may demonstrate to the world just how intent China is on developing its own domestic and international image. It is then perhaps even more imperative that GWG put every effort for developing Stenkampskraal into high gear, while interest is keen. And, they have only a year to meet some major milestones. But it seems that they are well out on the field at this time.
And the appetitie for nations and companies to "secure their upstream" has just grown considerably.
