December 2012 Updates To The TMR Advanced Graphite Projects Index

I recently updated the TMR Advanced Graphite Projects Index, to reflect six new and two updated mineral-resource estimates that were announced recently. I also made some other updates. The effective date of the updates is December 14, 2012. The specifics:

  • On October 29, 2012, Focus Graphite Inc. (TSX.V:FMS, OTCQX:FCSMF, F:FKC) announced the completion of a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for its Lac Knife project in Canada. According to the subsequently released PEA report, the previously reported Measured portion of the resource was reclassified and combined with the existing estimate at the Indicated level. As a result of the reclassification, 4.9 Mt of the resource is now at the Indicated level @ 15.76% Cg and 3.0 Mt is at the Inferred level @ 15.58% Cg (each at a cut-off grade of 5% Cg).
  • On October 30, 2012, Lamboo Resources Limited (ASX:LMB) announced the acquisition of three JORC-compliant graphite mineral resources in South Korea. According to the associated press release, 200 kt of the Geuman project resource is at the Inferred level @ 10% Cg, 200 kt of the Samcheok project resource is at the Inferred level @ 5% Cg and 170 kt of the Taehwa project resource is at the Inferred level @ 7% C (no cut-off grades were mentioned).
  • On November 8, 2012 Talga Resources Limited (ASX:TLG), formerly Talga Gold Limited, announced an update to the JORC-compliant mineral-resource estimate for the Nunasvaara project in Sweden. According to the associated press release, 5.6 Mt of the resource is at the Indicated level @ 24.6% Cg and 2.0 Mt is at the Inferred level @ 24.0% Cg (each at a cut-off grade of 10% Cg).
  • On December 3, 2012, Energizer Resources Inc. (TSX:EGZ, OTCBB:ENZR) announced a maiden NI 43-101-compliant mineral-resource estimate for the Molo project in Madagascar, a joint venture with Malagasy Minerals Limited (ASX:MGY). According to the associated press release, 84.0 Mt of the resource is at the Indicated level @ 6.36% Cg and 40.3 Mt is at the Inferred level @ 6.29% Cg (both at a cut-off grade of 2% Cg).
  • On December 3, 2012, Graphite One Resources Inc. (TSX.V:GPH, OTCQX:GPHOF) announced a maiden NI 43-101-compliant mineral-resource estimate for the Graphite Creek project in the USA. According to the associated press release, 107.2 Mt of the resource is at the Inferred level @ 5.78% Cg, at a cut-off grade of 3% Cg.
  • On December 6, 2012, Archer Exploration Limited (ASX:AXE) announced a maiden JORC-compliant mineral-resource estimate for the Campoona project in Australia. According to the associated press release, 339 kt of the resource is at the Measured level @ 14.8% Cg, 1.1 Mt is at the Indicated level @ 12.7% Cg and 1.1 Mt is at the Inferred level @ 11.2% Cg (each at a cut-off grade of 5% Cg).

FYI, TMR is now monitoring a total 195 graphite projects under development associated with 98 different companies in 20 different countries.
