Did you ever wish that you could more easily compare the projects on the TMR Advanced Rare-Earth Projects Index – perhaps even being able to sort the associated data quickly and easily?

Well, now you can – earlier today we finished revamping the way that we present the data associated with the projects on the Index. We are now showing three tables of data, each of which is fully sortable. You can even decide how many projects you want to see at any given time. To check out the layout update directly, go to the Index page.

In addition to the changes in the way that we present the project data, we have updated the Index to reflect a new rare-earth mineral-resource estimate that was announced recently. I also made some other updates. The effective date of the updates is October 12, 2012. The specifics:

  • On October 10, 2012, Mkango Resources Ltd. (TSX.V:MKA) announced a NI 43-101-compliant mineral-resource estimate for the Songwe project in Malawi. According to the associated press release, 13.2 Mt of the resource is at the Indicated level @ 1.62% TREO and 18.6 Mt is at the Inferred level @ 1.38% TREO (each at a cut-off grade of 1.0% TREO).
  • On October 10, 2012, Kimberley Rare Earths Limited (ASX:KRE) announced that is was withdrawing from the Cummins Range JV with Navigator Resources Limited (ASX.NAV).

I have also updated the pricing used in the Index data, to reflect the average monthly prices for September 2012.

FYI, TMR is tracking a total of 442 rare-earth projects in progress associated with 270 different companies in 37 different countries.

You can access the updated details via the Index page.

Disclosure: at the time of writing, Gareth Hatch holds no shares or stock options in any of the companies mentioned in this article, or in any publicly traded rare-earth company, nor is he doing paid consulting for any such company.

Re NTU,

I forgot to add that the company informs me that they expect to be in production of HREEs in 2015.

That is much easier than Snagging all the projects > printing them out > then highlighting and marking on them :-)

where is Great Western Minerals. It doesn’t seem to be on any of the list?
This confuses me. What is going on with GWG if it is not on the list?

@Geoff Alford: when Northern Minerals has announced a JORC-compliant resource estimate, it will be added to the Index.

@robit: glad it helps!

@Jim Obel: Great Western Minerals Group and their two projects are indeed listed – the default view is to see only the first 10 entries in each table – you can access the additional entries either by selecting additional pages (using the buttons below the tables) or changing the view to show all entries by using the pull down menu above the top left of each table.

The format you have adopted is very similar to a format I have restructured your data for easier readership and comparative functions and have provided on various bullboards

@wwwater: Indeed – and your format, in turn, is very similar to a summary data format that I’ve been using for over three years with private clients. An example, for an individual REE project, was posted in August 2010 at the TMR Web site:
