I recently updated the TMR Advanced Rare-Earth Projects Index, to reflect one new addition and one update. The effective date of the update is October 3, 2013. The specifics:
- For a number of years the TANBREEZ project in Greenland has been under development by a subsidiary of Rimbal Pty Ltd., a privately owned Australian company. Because the company is not listed on the Australian Securities Exchange or elsewhere, it is not obliged to report on developments concerning mineral resource estimates, economic studies and the like. This makes evaluating technical information particularly challenging. Nevertheless, after reviewing information provided by the company on this deposit, TMR has decided to finally add it to the Index. According to company reports, 4.3 Gt of the associated resource is at the Inferred level @ 0.65% TREO, with no cut-off grade.
- On September 11, 2013, DNI Metals Inc. (TSX.V:DNI) announced an updated NI-43-101-compliant mineral-resource estimate for the Buckton project in Canada. According to the associated news release and technical report, 271.9 Mt of the resource is at the Indicated level @ 0.03% TREO and 3.1 Gt is at the Inferred level @ 0.03% TREO, each at a composite cut-off value of $11.00-12.50 / t mineral resource.
The Index currently consists of 56 rare-earth mineral resources, associated with 50 advanced rare-earth projects and 47 different companies, located in 33 different regions within 16 different countries.
I have also updated the pricing used in the Index data, to reflect the average monthly prices for September 2013. You can access the updated details via the Index page.
One final note – the easy-to-remember shortcut for accessing the Index is www.RareEarths.org.
Disclosure: at the time of writing, Gareth Hatch holds no shares or stock options in any of the companies mentioned in this article, or in any publicly traded rare-earth company, nor is he doing paid consulting for any such company.
I see a Log In tab above on the home page, is there a subscription component to the site?
what would the pricing be?
best

Thanks to Gareth Hatch for the continuation of updated TMR Advanced Rare-Earth Projects Index, which are helpful for this sector.
